The Slovenian Society of Plant Biology (former Slovenian Society of Plant Physiology) has been active since 1982 as voluntary scientific and professional association gathering researchers who investigate physiological processes in plants, and interactions of plants with their biotic and abiotic environments. The members of the society are experts in the fields of biology, agronomy, forestry, plant pathology, chemistry, pharmacy and other associated disciplines. They come from different institutions: the University of Ljubljana (Biotechnical Faculty, Faculty of Pharmacy), the University of Maribor, the National Institute of Biology, the Jozef Stefan Institute, the Agricultural Institute of Slovenia, the Forestry Institute of Slovenia, the Institute of Physical Biology, Institute ERICo, the Slovenian Institute for Hop Research and Brewing and others. The members of the society exhibit our expertise and scientific excellence in Slovenian and abroad.
